Robots!

The grade 4 students have been working hard building their robots! I’m excited to see how to see the finished product and to hear the students to talk about them!

The letter sent home 3 weeks ago explains the unit we’re working on:
“This unit focuses on developing literacy skills and strategies to make predictions, make connections and reflect. In addition, students are learning body party, colours, numbers (1 to 10), physical descriptions and the underlying theme of respect, which encompasses greetings, cooperation and good manners.”

The finished robots are due Friday December 11 2015

If a little over a week of class time is not enough for the students to finish their robots they are encouraged to finish it at home.

The students will receive the instructions and their sheets necessary to interview their partners about their robots and to present their own this week. They should prepare for this as well.

The student robot interviews will start Monday December 14 2015. We will also have a gallery walk around the class where students will have the chance to present their robots.

If a student is away please let me know as soon as possible!

Thank you,
Mme. Girouard
